Overview
Matthew Webster is passionate about everything he does - especially volunteering, yachting and his professional work. He is avidly involved with a number of charities, including the well-respected Royal National Lifeboat Institution. Matthew is the senior helm and local training coordinator for the Aberystwyth Lifeboat. He's responsible for a crew of 20 volunteers that help the institution provide maritime rescue services around the coasts of UK and Ireland. An enthusiastic yachtsman, Matthew, including spending one summer teleworking from a yacht.
On the professional side, Matthew has 15 years of experience in IT consultancy/development, graphic design and publishing. He is an accomplished professional whose expertise enables him to develop applications, while paying careful attention to graphical design principles and individual user requirements. Matthew possesses strong relationship skills that draw from his experience in the industry, teaching and charity work. Additionally, he has a background in science and holds a BSc (hons) in Applied Chemistry, and post graduate research at the Open University in Milton Keynes.
